Kids have lost their independence. From around 4 years old kids start to break away a little from their parents, testing out their independence skills.
In this lockdown, children up to 16 years old have lost all of the independence they gained growing up because they can't do anything without their parents.
School provides the perfect place for kids to journey through growing up and building self-efficacy on their own. Primary schools start to encourage moms to stop walking their kids in from about Grade 3 and High School students are treated as capable humans that can manage their school lives.
But now...the freedoms have all but gone.
